Job Summary

This role involves managing the company's hardware product portfolio, supporting customers and internal teams with troubleshooting, and staying at the forefront of industry advancements to advise on new product development. The ideal candidate will have passion and expertise in hardware, particularly in fields related to telematics and CCTV, and will possess exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Product Management:
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the hardware and related software products offered and become the go-to expert.
  • Take the lead role in identifying new product opportunities and staying at the forefront of technology advancements in the sector.

Testing, Evaluation and Product Management:
  • Conduct hands-on testing of CCTV systems, digital video recorders, analogue and IP cameras, 4G routers, and VMS software products to identify and troubleshoot faults.
  • Support new AI development projects on the hardware front through knowledge of edge computing hardware like NVIDIA Jetson.

Technical Support and Communication:
  • Manage helpdesk tickets from initiation to resolution, ensuring effective solutions through collaboration with various departments.
  • Provide technical support via phone and email, assisting with fault diagnosis and general technical queries.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Networking (20%): IP, DNS, FTTP, Telnet commands, VPN, 4G/5G connectivity, Wi-Fi, IoT.
  • Hardware (40%): IP cameras, analogue cameras, DVRs, cables and connectors.
  • Software (40%): Video management systems, cloud server deployments, video streaming software and tools.
