Job Title: Chef De Partie

At Holroyd Howe, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative and delicious dishes that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, production, and service, ensuring that every meal is a culinary delight.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, kitchen assistants, and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and seasonal ingredients, to create menus that are both healthy and exciting.
  • Oversee stock control and ordering to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing waste, ensuring that our kitchen is always well-stocked and efficient.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary initiatives, creating memorable experiences for our students.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive working environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and effective communication, and demonstrating leadership qualities that inspire and motivate others.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution is preferred.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices is required.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective teamwork and leadership.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required is essential.
