Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Korea Foods Company. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the store, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities

  • Store Operations:
    • Oversee and manage stock levels, including receiving goods and making key decisions about stock control.
    • Analyse sales figures and forecast future sales, providing regular reports to the Senior Management team.
    • Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry and monitor local competitors' actions.
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
    • Ensure the best use of space and flow of the store, while adhering to fire safety standards.
    • Ensure that all standards of quality are met and that customer service levels are always high.
    • Utilise promotional and display resources available for efficient and effective advertisement.
    • Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • People Management:
    • Complete all duties associated with Employee Management, including scheduling rotas, recruiting and on-boarding employees, and managing performance and disciplinary issues.
    • Train and monitor employees, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
    • Communicate with customers and staff to maintain and present up-to-date information about products available and special promotions.
  • Ad-hoc Duties:
    • Attend Head Office for training and meetings as required.
    • Perform any other reasonable management instruction.

Requirements

  • A minimum of A Level or equivalent education in an English speaking course.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations pertaining to the role.
  • Experience in Management is beneficial.
  • Strong people skills are required.
  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure.
