About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Manager to lead our Copthorne charity shop in Shrewsbury. As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth, managing a team of volunteers, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the shop, including stock management, visual merchandising, and customer service.
- Lead and develop a team of volunteers, providing training and support to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellent customer service.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement.
- Manage the shop's budget, including stock purchases, marketing expenses, and other operational costs.
- Build relationships with local suppliers and partners to secure donations and support for the shop.
- Monitor and report on shop performance, including sales, customer feedback, and volunteer engagement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a charity shop environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of volunteers.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and other financial metrics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Passion for retail and customer service, with a commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences.
