Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Jonathan Lee Recruitment. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of mechanical engineering systems, equipment, and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your mechanical engineering experience to lead the development of mechanical engineering systems, equipment, and components.
  • Work with other engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to deliver mechanical engineering systems, equipment, and components that integrate into a complex array of cross-functional interactions.
  • Engage and build relationships with suppliers to develop and capture equipment and component specifications that meet the challenging demands of the product.
  • Work directly with the customer to develop requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios, user cases, and other design considerations.
  • Take the lead for performing and reviewing engineering calculations and analysis to make decisions and demonstrate system performance.
  • Coordinate, manage, and leverage a wide stakeholder base to solve complex engineering problems and make responsible engineering decisions.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical engineering background in rotator machinery, components, or fluid dynamics.
  • Experience of applying mechanical engineering in different products.
  • Experience of different stages of an engineering and product lifecycle.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • An interest in problem-solving.
  • Ability to solve complex engineering calculations.
  • Educated to degree level in engineering, mechanical, or science subjects.
