About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team at Greggs. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing the daily fleet availability for our depots in the south region, ensuring compliance with all legal responsibilities and minimizing operational risks.

You will be responsible for analysing and developing vehicle specifications to reduce operational risk and environmental impact, managing suppliers to ensure compliance, cost control, and service level agreements are maintained. Additionally, you will oversee the technical asset audits of the commercial fleet and manual handling equipment to agreed schedules.

As a Fleet Manager, you will work closely with our regional fleet engineers to ensure we have a safe and compliant fleet. You will also support the supply sites to achieve fleet revenue budgets and operational efficiencies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-oriented individual with a passion for high safety and compliance standards. You will have demonstrable experience of managing a vehicle fleet, experience with vehicle engineering and technologies, and the ability to demonstrate influential communication.

The base location for this role is flexible, with time being spent at our depots in London, Amesbury, Kettering, Treforest & Birmingham. You will be responsible for managing fleet compliance and vehicle uptime to support the national distribution operations in a cost-efficient way.

About You

You will be a strong communicator with excellent organisational and planning skills. You will hold a Certificate of Professional competence in National Road Haulage Operations and have a full driving license. You will be computer literate and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
