Urban Planner / GIS Specialist

Bjarke Ingels Group is seeking an experienced Urban Planner / GIS Specialist to join our London office. As a key member of our Design Technology team, you will play a crucial role in supporting business activities through spatial analytics and technical coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize existing tools and data to perform spatial analysis and support project leaders in technical communication with clients.
  • Develop and implement GIS workflows to enhance project delivery and coordination.
  • Review project documents, including schedules, surveys, and deliverables, to inform technical services and GIS deliverables.
  • Lead and manage technical aspects related to GIS deliverables, including coordination with internal and external parties.
  • Support project leaders in technical communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Interpret and apply government codes, ordinances, and regulations to inform project delivery.
  • Assist with updates and file coordination of structure plans, transportation networks, utility corridors, and land development regulations.
  • Offer end-user support and guidance on GIS systems and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in town planning, preferably within the Middle East.
  • Proven expertise in delivering successful planning projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in planning software and GIS tools, including Rhino and AutoCAD.
