Direct Line Group, a leading insurance provider, is seeking a skilled Counter Fraud Motor Claims Referral Team Lead to join their team in Leeds.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering counter fraud benefits by identifying and investigating insurance fraud. This will involve undertaking investigations to validate or substantiate concerns, as well as effective portfolio management to ensure SLAs are met and cases are kept within process guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a background in motor insurance claims and at least 12 months of experience working in a claims fraud role. They will also possess excellent organisational and time management skills, good communication skills, and the ability to prioritise and manage workload efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Detect and investigate insurance fraudManage portfolios to meet SLAs and process guidelinesLead and participate in identifying departmental opportunities and new workstreamsProvide feedback to team leaders for handler developmentAct as a technical referral point for team members and the wider departmentEffectively manage and control fraud rings/linked operations

What You'll Need:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A background in motor insurance claims
  • At least 12 months of experience working in a claims fraud role
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload efficiently
