At Academics, we are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team in a specialist school near Guildford. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal candidate must be passionate about restorative approaches and committed to building strong relationships with students. You will work closely with the teaching staff to identify risks and needs, escalating where necessary, and provide consistency and support to ensure students feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe in their ability to succeed.

You will have the opportunity to equip students with tools to overcome challenges and reduce the risk of entering the criminal justice system. Experience working with SEN children and/or adults is preferred, and graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling are encouraged to apply.

We offer an excellent on-site training program, providing ongoing support and CPD to ensure the safeguarding of all students. The salary for this position is £85-£100 per day, with a start date in Jan 2025 or ASAP, term time only.
