Job Title: Social Care Worker

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dundee City Council as a Social Care Worker. As a key member of our locality team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to service users in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist service users in maintaining their independence and well-being in their own homes

• Provide personal care and support to service users, including assistance with daily living tasks and activities of daily living

• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care and support

• Develop and maintain relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a person-centered approach to care and support

Requirements:

• SVQ2 or ability to undertake training to achieve this award within a specified timeframe

• Ability to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified time

• Previous experience in a caring role, either in a paid or voluntary capacity

• Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts
