Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Adult Phlebotomist to join our team at Beacon Medical Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of blood sample collection and processing services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient comfort and consent for blood sample collection.
  • Collect blood samples in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Accurately label and store blood samples for timely dispatch to laboratories.
  • Record blood sample collection in patient records and notify healthcare teams as necessary.
  • Perform routine checks on patient identification and ensure accurate communication with healthcare teams.
  • Liaise with administrative staff to maintain efficient workflow and record-keeping.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain expertise and knowledge.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in phlebotomy or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with health and safety protocols and infection control procedures.
