We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals and small groups of children with SEMH and additional challenging behaviour. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with pupils, de-escalating volatile situations, and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to pupils with SEMH and additional challenging behaviour
  • Working with small groups of pupils to develop social and emotional skills
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behaviour plans
  • Supporting pupils to develop confidence and self-esteem through positive relationships and strategies
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture

We are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant who is:

  • Experienced in working with children with SEMH and additional challenging behaviour
  • Compassionate and empathetic with a strong ability to build relationships
  • Resilient and able to manage challenging situations
  • Committed to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential
