Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated Behaviour & Learning Mentor to join their team at a specialist school in Leicestershire. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be able to provide emotional support and guidance to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting students during lessons and school activities
  2. Working with teachers and support staff to develop personalized learning plans
  3. Providing emotional support and guidance to students with SEND
  4. Assisting with daily care requirements and managing pupil behaviour
  5. Delivering 1:1 and small group activities to support student learning
  6. Collecting evidence of student progress and contributing to assessment

Requirements:

  1. Experience working with children with SEND
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  4. High levels of patience, empathy, and understanding
  5. Desirable: experience working in a school setting and knowledge of SEND policies and procedures
