We are seeking a dedicated Community Safety Professional to join our team at Service Care Solutions Ltd. As a Probation Officer, you will work closely with the Lancashire Child and Youth Justice Service to improve outcomes for children, parents, carers, and families.

About the Position

This role involves assessing, planning, intervening, and reporting on cases involving high-risk children and young people in the community and in custody. You will also manage Out Of Court Disposals for children aged 17 years and above.

The salary for this role is approximately £20.30 per hour (PAYE rate) or £26.45 per hour (Limited rate). Extensive travel is required across multiple areas in Lancashire.

Key Tasks
  1. Assessment, planning, intervention, and report writing.
  2. Management of high-risk children and young people in the community and in custody.
  3. Management of Out Of Court Disposals for children aged 17 years and above.
  4. Acting as a single point of contact between the Child and Youth Justice Service and the adult Criminal Justice Services.

The service aims to reduce offending and harm through their core principles: Child First, Trauma-Informed, and Restorative approaches.
