About the Role
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Finance Department as a Finance Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing financial management information to the Health Board and its budget holders.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the provision of accurate and timely financial management information to the Health Board and its budget holders.
Process month end journals to ensure a materially robust financial position is reported, including expenditure, income, and budget journals.
Assist in the timely and accurate production of financial reporting and the monitoring of performance against budget.
Maintain budgeted establishments and support the Divisional Support Accountants by providing ad-hoc costings and financial information.
Deal with ad-hoc queries from the service teams and meet with budget holders as and when required.

Requirements
Studying towards AAT or equivalent is essential. AAT Technician Level or equivalent is desirable.
Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications is essential. Effective time management and organisational skills, confidence using figures, and analytical skills are also essential.
Good communication skills and experience in a finance department are desirable. Previous NHS or public sector finance experience is also desirable.
