Job Description

Role Overview

The Disability Assessor will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals to determine their eligibility for benefits. The role involves gathering information through telephone, video, or face-to-face interactions, and using this information to produce a factual report to aid the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in their decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of clients to understand how their disability or health condition affects their daily life.
  • Listen to clients' experiences, ask questions, and use insights to produce a factual report.
  • Work with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health.

What We Offer

  • Excellent starting salary at £40,000pa.
  • Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm working hours.
  • Full time and part time available.
  • Hybrid/home working available.
  • NMC or HCPC fees paid for and CPD revalidation support provided.

Requirements

  • An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1 year or more broad post-registration experience.
  • Proactive and keen to learn.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Competent IT and computer skills.
