About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at The Beachcomber Inn, our flagship food-led pub on resort. As a Duty Manager, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests and leading a high-performing team.

The Beachcomber Inn is a bustling venue that welcomes hundreds of guests each week. Whether it's a BBQ in the sunshine or a conference in the conservatory, you'll be responsible for ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: As a visible presence in the venue, you'll set the tone for exceptional customer service and lead your team to deliver outstanding results.
  • Team Development: Work closely with the manager to develop and lead a high-performing team that's passionate about delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Communication: Ensure that your team is up-to-date with relevant information and that communication is clear and effective.
  • Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness within the team and the venue.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety legislation.
  • Analysis and Control: Analyze KPIs to control food costs and labor, and work with the manager to implement stock control systems to maximize gross profit margin.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience of working in a leadership role in a food-led pub environment.
  • Food Hygiene Certification: Level 2 in Food Hygiene is essential, Intermediate Food Hygiene is desirable.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of stocktaking, labor control, and health and safety practices in catering.
  • Personal License: A personal license holder is preferable.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
