About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at The Beachcomber Inn, our flagship food-led pub on resort. As a Duty Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our guests have an unforgettable experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead by Example: As a visible presence in the venue, you'll deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests, embodying our company values and setting the tone for our team.
  • Team Development: Work closely with the manager to lead and develop the team, providing guidance and support to ensure they're equipped to deliver exceptional service.
  • Communication: Demonstrate effective communication skills, ensuring your team is up-to-date with relevant information and that our guests receive top-notch service.
  • Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness within the team and the venue, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety legislation, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests and team members.
  • Analysis and Control: Analyze KPIs with the support of the manager, controlling food costs and labor to maximize gross profit margin.
  • Stock Control: Implement stock control systems to maximize gross profit margin, ensuring efficient inventory management.
Requirements

We're looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience in a leadership role in a food-led pub environment.
  • Hold a Level 2 in Food Hygiene (Intermediate Food Hygiene is desirable).
  • Have knowledge of stocktaking, labor control, and health and safety practices in catering.
  • A personal license holder is preferable.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to guests and visitors.
