With a £1.5 billion investment package, this project is poised to make a significant impact on the UK's energy landscape.

This is an exciting time to be part of our team as we navigate the UK Government's legislation mandating SAF usage. We're seeking a highly motivated Junior HSE Coordinator to join us on a staff basis at our site in Teesside.

This role will provide complete support to our site HSE Manager, offering a unique opportunity for someone to develop their knowledge and skills in safety legislation, policies, and practices. As an EHS Advisor, you'll be responsible for:

  • Assisting with records, inspections, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with company SHEQ processes and procedures
  • Maintaining our MS SharePoint database for all company policies and procedures
  • Supporting the production of risk assessments and development of safe systems of work
  • Recording follow-up actions from internal/external audit, accident investigations, and compliance audits
  • Supporting the EHS Manager to conduct incident investigations and reports
  • Supporting the EHS function with health and safety training
  • Implementing company QHSE policies, plans, and initiatives

You'll also be responsible for collating and preparing HSE data/presentations for site and submitting corporate weekly and monthly Health and Safety KPI reports. Perform routine workplace inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

We're looking for someone with:

  • ~2+ years of experience in HSE, including industrial site experience
  • ~ IOSH Managing Safely certification
  • ~ Possession or working towards NEBOSH General Certificate
  • ~ Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 (advantageous but not essential)
  • ~ Proficiency with Microsoft Platforms (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • ~ Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • ~ A driven personality with ambition to further a career in Health & Safety Management
