Job Title: Advanced Respiratory Specialist Physiotherapist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Respiratory Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our Integrated Respiratory Services, you will work as an autonomous practitioner in the community, providing specialist respiratory assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment programs to meet the diverse needs of patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist respiratory assessment, diagnosis, and treatment programs to patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, including COPD and rehabilitation patients.
  • Act as an educational resource for patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals, providing guidance and information on all aspects of respiratory care.
  • Contribute to the planning and evaluation of community-based Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs.
  • Deliver Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs as an autonomous practitioner, using advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide accurate diagnoses.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years NHS post-registration experience.
  • Experience of coordinating and managing patient care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of management of change, research, audit quality, and the research and evidence base within the field of rehabilitation, COPD, and Heart Failure.
  • Effective teaching and training skills.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio, including attendance at recent in-service training in respiratory.
  • State Registration.
