Respiratory Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary therapy service at Royal Brompton Hospital. As a Band 5 Community Respiratory Physiotherapist, you will work with adults and children with complex chronic heart and lung disease in a world-renowned centre.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide specialist physiotherapy services in respiratory medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, and paediatric respiratory services.
- Manage your own patient caseload and be responsible for a defined area of service or a particular patient type, working with minimal supervision.
- Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner with freedom to act on your own interpretation of data.
- Supervise, educate, and assess the performance of physiotherapy students and junior staff to ensure standard of practice and teaching meets the standards set by degree level qualification.
- Participate in active management of long-term patients with a tracheostomy and be responsible for their physical rehabilitation and ventilation progression.
Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals joined Guy's and St Thomas' in February 2021 and is the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK and among the largest in Europe. We are working in partnership with King's Health Partners to deliver our vision of creating a new centre of excellence, which will be the global leader in the research into and treatment of heart and lung disease, in patients from pre-birth to old age.
Requirements:- Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Significant post-qualification experience
- Experience at Band 5/6 level in the cardiac/respiratory field
