Job Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing and Community Support Specialist to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of those we support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support with daily living tasks, such as personal care, household tasks, and financial management.
  • Assist individuals with accessing community resources and recreational activities.
  • Encourage and support individuals to develop their life skills and independence.
  • Develop positive and supportive relationships with individuals, their families, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individual support and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality, person-centred support.
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, ideally in a support or care setting.
  • Attitude, aptitude, and ambition to succeed.
  • Commitment to promoting independence and enabling individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of individuals.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference.
