Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reception Shift Lead to join our dynamic team at Morris House Group Practice. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our reception services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and guidance to the reception team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for patients and staff, resolving queries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support the Practice Manager and Operations Manager in implementing practice procedures and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the team in achieving high standards of patient care and service delivery, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, staff, and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and coordinate the reception rota, ensuring adequate cover at all times, including during periods of staff absence.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records, reports, and statistics, providing insights and recommendations for practice improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with practice procedures, policies, and protocols, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of new procedures and processes.

Requirements

  • High level of numeracy and literacy, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of practice procedures and policies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
