Teaching Assistant

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant at Activate Learning, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with a range of needs, including learning difficulties and disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist students in developing life skills, independence, and employability skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support learners with learning difficulties and disabilities in a classroom or workshop setting
- Assist students with personal and medical care, as required
- Help learners develop life skills, independence, and employability skills
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure learners receive the best possible support
Requirements
- Passion for supporting learners with special needs
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Patience and resilience when working with learners who may present challenging behaviors
