About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the nursery, including classrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the nursery premises is clean and tidy, including laundry room.
  • Checking stock levels and re-ordering as necessary.
  • Operating all equipment necessary for the job – eg vacuum cleaners, dish washers, washing machines, tumble driers, steam cleaners.
  • Disinfecting surfaces, toys, and furniture to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of communal areas, including kitchens and staff rooms.
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas.
  • Able to use the correct cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals safely and appropriately.
  • To report any problems, faults, damage appropriately.

Requirements

We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy individual with previous experience in a cleaning role. You should have a good understanding of hygiene and safety standards, particularly in environments where children are present.
