Financial Services Audit Manager Position

Due to continued growth, a leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced and qualified (ACA/ACCA) accountant to lead an audit team within their corporate services department. The ideal candidate will be working currently in practice and have some line management experience, or looking for their first move into management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring an excellent accountancy service is provided to all clients. This includes reviewing and finalising audit files, accounts and corporation tax work prepared by team members, as well as completing staff appraisals and ensuring competency through training and coaching as required.

A key aspect of the role will be identifying further business opportunities and assisting partners with business planning, advisory and further audit work. Additionally, the candidate will assist with controlling WIP within the department by progressing work to billing point.

Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified in practice (FCA or FCCA also considered)
  • Proven experience of working within an audit practice environment
  • Ability to review and complete audit and account files quickly and efficiently
  • Very good general IT skills, including accounting packages, Office 365 etc.
  • Driving license and transport for ad-hoc travel to clients as required

In return for your expertise, you can expect a highly competitive salary of approximately £60,000-£80,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package, flexible working hours and hybrid/home working arrangements.
