About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Officer to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our Finance Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Finance Manager and Director in ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, and robust.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to the Finance Manager and Director, ensuring financial information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Undertake a range of financial tasks, including processing financial data through the Oracle ledger system and Sage 200.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of financial administration duties within Weqas.

Requirements

  • Experience and/or knowledge of financial procedures/techniques equivalent to AAT Technician Level (or working towards it).
  • Experience within an NHS environment, or similar, with some experience in a financial role.
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
