Accounting Support Role at IPS Finance

We are seeking a detail-driven and organized Accounts Assistant to support our dynamic team at IPS Finance. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial records and ensuring the accuracy of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the Warranty Ledger and ensure its accuracy.
  • Assist with General Ledger entries and reconciliations, ensuring timely completion.
  • Support the month-end process, guaranteeing deadlines are met.
  • Handle Petty Cash processing and reconciliation, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Provide Purchase Ledger support and handle miscellaneous sales invoicing as needed.
  • Answer telephones, including supplier call handling and general office backup.
  • Provide holiday cover for payroll processing, ensuring continuity.
  • Assist with ad hoc duties related to the Purchase Ledger, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements:
  • Basic debit and credit knowledge, with a solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with experience in creating and managing spreadsheets.
  • Essential experience using Sage Payroll, ensuring seamless integration.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all work.
  • Adaptable, reliable, and able to manage priorities effectively.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well both as part of a team and independently.
