Senior Business Development Lead

Job Description:
This role is for a skilled Business Manager who can support the growth of SMEs in the South West. The position involves working from home, with occasional attendance to the Bristol office and other locations in the region.
The key responsibilities include:
- Loan Appraisals: Conduct thorough assessments of business propositions, including risk evaluation and recommendation for support.
- Data Management: Upload and monitor data on the loan management system.
- Customer Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with clients within your portfolio.
- New Business Generation: Develop new business opportunities through personal networking and contacts.
- Loan Recovery: Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager to address loan arrears and implement recovery actions.
- Professional Development: Participate in required training to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies like the FCA.
- Continuing Professional Development: Engage in ongoing learning and development activities in consultation with the Managing Director.
- Staff Review: Contribute to staff reviews and follow up on agreed actions.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Adhere to the company's Dignity & Diversity Policy.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in SME lending.
- Skillset: Effective relationship management, ability to forge networks, excellent interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage time effectively.
- Travel: Willingness to travel and adapt to changing circumstances.
