About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist to join our team as a Lead Psychologist in a specialist mental health service for men who are deaf and have complex communication needs.

As a Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to a team of Psychologists and Assistants, and will be involved in the development and implementation of new initiatives and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a team of Psychologists and Assistants
  • Develop and implement new initiatives and ways of working
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance staff safety and risk management
  • Work with internal and external agencies to enhance treatment pathways for service users
  • Participate in the recruitment of junior psychology staff
Requirements
  • Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society
  • Successful completion of a Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology
  • Competence in assessing, formulating, and working therapeutically with service users
  • Ability to identify and proactively resolve problems and challenges within the service
  • Ability to supervise junior members of the team
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with trauma
  • Experience in working with people with complex needs that are relevant to the population in the service area
