We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Student Success Manager to join our team at GBS Global Applied Knowledge. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Student Success Tutors to ensure the delivery of high-quality student services across multiple academic levels.
Main Responsibilities- Manage a team of Student Success Tutors to ensure timely completion of duties and delivery of student services.
- Ensure that all team members maintain a comprehensive knowledge of support services available at GBS and partner organizations.
- Provide basic academic and IT support to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Follow up on student non-attendance and refer persistent cases to the student retention team.
- Work with the Head to schedule in-class support sessions and design workshops, events, and student events to enhance the student experience.
- Ensure timely and accurate record keeping and produce reports as requested.
- Communicate effectively with students using a range of digital and in-person methods.
- Perform duties of a Student Success Tutor in case of staff shortage.
- Education to degree level or equivalent experience in a front-facing customer service role or academic student support role.
- Strongly developed sense of service delivery and customer/student-focused approach.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening, written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Flexibility, approachability, and a strong customer service ethic.
- Ability to handle sensitive and personal information with tact and confidentiality.
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in MS Office applications.
The Senior Student Success Manager will also be expected to demonstrate their commitment to GBS values and regulations, including equal opportunities policy, and to their Health and Safety responsibilities to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
