Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Planner to join our team at Colt Data Centre Services. As a key member of our Major Builds Delivery Team, you will be responsible for managing project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking for our European capital expenditure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain master project schedules, ensuring alignment with key delivery milestones and business objectives.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and delays.
  • Liaise with engineering functions, external consultants, and contractors to optimize project execution and cost-effectiveness.
  • Regularly visit project sites, maintaining current knowledge of project critical path schedules and managing complex logistical discussions with contractors and vendors.
  • Review proposed changes for potential schedule or execution risk, conducting analysis and negotiating with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare bespoke schedule reporting for investors, customers, and stakeholders, documenting risks, variations, delays, and proactive recovery strategies.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience in construction project planning and scheduling for a mission-critical industry.
  • Proficient in the use of Primavera P6, MS PPT, MS Excel, and MS Project, with experience in data centre planning and contract administration.
  • Strong understanding of engineering disciplines, including MEP, Structural, Civil, ELV, and IBMS.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive focus on problem-solving, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel at short notice to visit project sites or existing facilities.
  • Minimum qualification of a full-time graduate in engineering from a recognized university, with additional qualifications in PMP desirable.
