About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join our Warehouse Operations team at the Culina Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing all site operations activity across all warehouse functions to maximize profit while achieving revenue growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the collection of data and maintenance of records as required to produce the agreed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Performance and development reviews with direct reports, ensuring succession plans are in place.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety reporting, including employee accidents, near misses, MHE status/defects.
  • Track and report on team performance.
  • Resource planning, recruitment, and management of agency requirements.
  • Ensure all individual KPIs are met across the contracts to ensure customer SLA is met.
  • Support in the resolution of staff-related matters to reduce disruption to the operation.
  • Regular communication with clients, building strong working relationships.
  • Manage budgets and forecasting to support effective planning.
  • Minimize cost by managing stock accuracy and loss.
  • Prepare, revise, and submit reports, budgets, and other documentation as and when requested.
  • Driving continuous improvement within the operation.

Requirements

  • Experience of managing large teams within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
  • Able to work effectively and communicate with all levels within an organization.
  • Experience and knowledge of continuous improvement principles and methodologies.
  • Problem-solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Client-facing – experienced at interaction with senior management teams.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Experience managing client SLAs, measuring, and monitoring performance using various IT systems.
  • Proactive approach when identifying potential challenges.
