About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of retail professionals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service and store operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Manage store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve store performance, customer satisfaction, and colleague engagement.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, and promoting a positive and inclusive store culture.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives, share best practices, and provide feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, inventory, and stock levels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues, customers, and external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with company initiatives, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a retail leadership role, preferably in a convenience store environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and external partners.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
