Electron Microscopy Facility Coordinator Position at Instruct-ERIC

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced cryo-electron microscopist to join our team at Instruct-ERIC. As an Electron Microscopy Facility Coordinator, you will play a key role in the running of our state-of-the-art facility, specializing in high resolution data collection and supporting the research of our user community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our team to oversee the operation of the Electron Microscopy Facility
  • Specialize in state-of-the-art high resolution data collection, including related sample preparation
  • Support the research of our user community, providing opportunities for you to develop your own research projects
  • Develop and support research projects from external users and coordinate use of and reporting to the National EM Centre at the Diamond Synchrotron

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in a relevant area, preferably with postdoctoral research experience in single particle cryo-electron microscopy structure determination. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
