Job Title: Deputy Manager - Children's Nursery

To support the day-to-day operation of The Family Haven Nursery, ensuring high-quality nursery education and care are delivered in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines. In the absence of the manager, to lead and manage the team, ensuring qualified staff are in place to deliver exceptional care and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily planning and serving of children's meals, taking into account special diets.
  • Organize trips, visits, and supervise accordingly.
  • Liaise with the nursery manager regarding personal development and appraisal.
  • Ensure the management and organization of the nursery staff, including workplace students, in the manager's absence.
  • Undertake regular training and development to update skills and knowledge as necessary.
  • Assist in the induction of staff working within the nursery.
  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be directed by the nursery manager and/or The Family Haven Trustee Group.
Requirements:
  • NVQ3 in Childcare or NNEB or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • Designated Safeguarding Lead.
