Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Home Manager to join our team at Hobbits Holt, a 24/7 residential care home providing support to 6 individuals. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the high standards of care and service are achieved within the home to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in ensuring the home is maintained in accordance with regulatory bodies
  • Line manage the senior team to ensure high standards of care and service are achieved
  • Support the Home Manager in managing resources to ensure sales and profits are maximised
  • Support residents to live as independently as possible, including personal care
  • Act as a senior member of staff on shift and be confident in supporting residents and staff team
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with residents and their families
  • Take residents out and about, including walking, local cafes, and outdoor activities
  • Contribute to the on-call rota and a varied shift pattern

Requirements

  • Significant previous Deputy Manager experience
  • Confident and autonomous decision-making skills
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to build solid working relationships
  • Experience in leading a team and supporting people in a proactive, person-centred way
  • Ability to deal with Mental Health and Non-verbal individuals
