About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Minor Injuries Practitioner to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and referring patients in our Minor Injuries Unit.
Main Duties
- Assess and treat patients in the Minor Injuries Unit
- Refer patients to secondary or community care settings as appropriate
- Take clinical responsibility for patients, carers, students, and other junior health professionals
- Provide health promotion to patients and maintain a high quality of care
Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience of working in emergency and/or minor injury and/or ailment care
- Recent previous experience of working within a customer-focused environment
- Previous experience of working with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to undertake physical examination in order to diagnose previously undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
