About the Role

White Cube is seeking a highly skilled Accommodation Operations Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our UK sites, including administration, facilities, health and safety, and projects.

Key Responsibilities

Administration:

  • Raise purchase orders and manage finance
  • Provide first aid response and training
  • Advise the Senior Operations Manager on any problems or repairs required
  • Attend regular internal training sessions and conduct site inductions with new employees

Facilities:

  • Undertake small repairs in the galleries, including decorating, electrical, and plumbing work
  • Work with contractors to ensure plant equipment and M&E services are safe and well maintained
  • Assist with exhibition maintenance and travel between UK sites for emergency repair works
  • Conduct PPMs, including fire alarm testing, and uphold presentation of gallery spaces

Health and Safety:

  • Assist with ongoing H&S maintenance and record keeping
  • Provide first aid response

Projects:

  • Provide assistance on special projects as required
  • Assist with construction projects nationally and internationally
  • Work on changes to offices and premises

Management:

  • Liaise with contractors and deputise UK sites in the event of Senior Operations Manager absence
  • Nominated key holder and out-of-hours emergency responder
  • Work on occasion outside of core hours for openings and events
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Self-discipline, organisation, and self-motivation
  • The ability to work in a team, contribute ideas, and take on a lead role on projects as required
  • Adaptability and receptiveness to new ideas and initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, build rapport, and communicate with people at all levels
  • Proficiency in hands-on repair work and knowledge of MS Suite
  • Excellent spoken and written English
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £30,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
