Job Description:

Teaching Personnel is seeking an exceptional Maths Teacher to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students with high functioning autism in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach maths to pupils with high functioning autism.
  • Use restorative practices and effective behaviour management skills.
  • Monitor and review teaching through self-evaluation and report writing.
  • Plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning for individuals and small groups.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
