Purchasing Manager Job Description

Koin Limited, a leading collectable company, is seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager to join its team in Poole, United Kingdom. As a key member of the supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels by analyzing sales data and accurately forecasting demand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all product purchasing for The Koin Club, ensuring optimal inventory levels at all times.
  • Approve purchase orders and collaborate with external suppliers to ensure timely stock delivery.
  • Liaise with suppliers to expand product ranges and negotiate pricing and minimum order quantities.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales to gather forecast requirements for ordering new items.
  • Use sales data to accurately forecast ongoing stock replenishment requirements.
  • Identify slow-moving or discontinued lines and flag them with relevant sales channels.
  • Manage stock levels across multiple locations and warehouses.
  • Oversee subscription stock management.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a purchasing role or similar.
  • Line management experience (1 direct report).
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high organizational skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and confidence in dealing with suppliers.
  • Understanding of subscriptions is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with multiple warehouses is preferred.
