About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Biogen (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our anaerobic digestion (AD) plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address maintenance needs, and develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering, with a focus on process industry applications.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Requirements

  • Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, with a strong understanding of process industry applications.
  • Experience in engineering, PLC controls, or electronics, with a focus on maintenance and operations.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with materials handling equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, with a focus on cost control and budget management.
