About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Biogen (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our anaerobic digestion (AD) plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address maintenance needs, and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, and contribute to the development of maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance activities, and analyze data to inform maintenance strategies and optimize resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in maintenance, engineering, or a related field, preferably in a process industry.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance principles, including PPM, and ability to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
