About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Engineer to join our team at Biogen (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our anaerobic digestion plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of environmental, safety, and quality management systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in a related process industry, preferably with a focus on anaerobic digestion or biogas production.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC controls and electronics.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with materials handling equipment.
  • First aid certification and willingness to obtain WAMITAB and NEBOSH certifications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
