About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Customer Insights Specialist to join our group digital analytics function. In this role, you will play a critical part in connecting the dots across our customer data, providing insights on customer needs and behaviours, and reporting on the health of our customer base to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage multiple data sources, including Google Analytics, transactional databases, and advertising platforms, to create a comprehensive view of the customer.
  • Work closely with data engineering to prioritise a roadmap of data models and automations to meet our analytics needs.
  • Analyse large datasets using visualisation tools (e.g., PowerBI/Looker) and present findings to senior management and wider digital teams.
  • Support the team in developing periodic analysis and reporting, communicating customer performance clearly.
  • Measure the effectiveness of customer communication through experimentation and incrementality.
  • Develop relationships with data engineering, commercial analytics, and other business stakeholders to ensure continuity in definitions and data governance.
  • Build tools and educate the wider team to foster a data culture and democratise data access.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficiency in SQL and R/Python programming languages.
  • Strong visualisation skills, preferably using PowerBI, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Extensive experience working in analytics or business intelligence within an ecommerce/retail setting.
  • A good understanding of applying customer analytics core concepts (e.g., LTV, CAC, RFM, Churn, NPS/CSAT).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt style based on audience.
  • A passion for data and natural curiosity for uncovering informative insights.
  • Interest in future customer analytics trends, including lifetime value and retention.
  • Experience building/briefing data models in a cloud environment (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
  • The ability to work autonomously, building strong relationships with key stakeholders across CRM, Membership, Trading, and other digital functions.
