Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Resource Planning Lead to join our team at London Stansted Airport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and front-line operation is fully staffed and able to respond to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning and creating 5-year resource plans for Stansted Airport's operational areas.
  • Creating long-term recruitment plans in line with new strategies and requirements.
  • Owning the creation of future workforce strategies.
  • Providing analytical expertise to monitor and report on operational and financial performance of Stansted Airport, focusing on resource.
  • Ownership of the yearly forecasting process, ensuring the business is continuously reporting an accurate forecast.
  • Identifying areas of improvement to maximize resource efficiency and operational performance.
  • Supporting creation of long-term resource strategies to influence contract, rostering, and deployment decisions.
  • Undertaking 'planned vs actual' analysis and carrying out detailed root cause analysis to provide challenge, identify trends, and improve planning accuracy.
  • Providing support to the Business Change and Transformation teams on resource strategies.
  • Providing recommendations on optimal resource mix.
  • Identifying and communicating trends that impact financial or operational performance.
  • Providing guidance on future spend, influencing decision-making when reforecasting.
  • Providing the most current Resource Level against the agreed budgets to stakeholders by way of creating a Resource 'BLUE BOOK'.

Requirements

  • A track record of success resourcing complex operations.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills with the ability to recognize data trends.
  • Experience presenting and distilling data in an accessible way to senior stakeholders.
  • Professional communication style.
  • Experience with senior stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of core resource planning principles.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft suite.
