Electromagnetic Scientist Role

QinetiQ is seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Scientist to join our team at our Farnborough site. As an Electromagnetic Scientist, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge electromagnetic technology and collaborate with some of the industry's most brilliant minds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support research and development of new electromagnetic materials and technologies
  • Carry out computer modelling services for civilian and military applications
  • Provide subject matter expertise in areas related to core business, including metamaterials, antennas, and radar absorbing materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative electromagnetic solutions
Requirements:
  • Relevant technical background in electromagnetics and STEM-related subjects
  • High level of competence in electromagnetic theory and design, electromagnetic measurement and modelling
  • Understanding of relevant materials and incorporation of technologies in products
  • PhD or degree in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience
