Electromagnetic Compatibility Test Engineer

Join QinetiQ Limited as an Electromagnetic Compatibility Test Engineer and be part of a team that explores new ways of protecting what matters most. As a key member of our RF & Electronic Engineering Physical Sciences team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that technical solutions meet business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up customer equipment prior to testing and throughout the testing phase and deliver detailed test reports.
  • Use a variety of test equipment, including digital oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analysers, receivers, antennas and amplifiers regularly.
  • Have the opportunity to work away at customer sites in the UK and overseas on an occasional basis for typically up to 2-3 weeks consecutively.
  • Be able to develop your skills and experience within this role and have the opportunity to grow into a fully-fledged Electromagnetic Compatibility/Electronics Engineer within QinetiQ.
Requirements:
  • Electronics Engineering for both analogue and digital.
  • Hands-on design, implementation and test experience through project work.
  • A strong interest and/or experience of Radio Frequency (RF) design and testing.
