Are you a skilled chef looking to take your culinary expertise to the next level? Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences? Aramark UK is seeking a highly motivated and experienced 2nd Chef to join our team at Alexander Barracks, Pirbright, GU24 0QQ.

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for preparing and serving food to the highest standard, running shifts and guiding your team when the Head Chef is not present, producing up to 1000 meals at a time, and ensuring tasks are allocated to ensure a smooth operation daily.

  • Producing food in line with recipe sheets
  • Full knowledge of all menu items served
  • Organising monthly stock count and conducting brand standard audits
  • Supporting the effective delivery of special functions or events
  • Management of production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage
  • Placing orders and keeping records of any stock wastage
  • Completing all shift opening and closing checklists and due diligence
  • Acting as a trainer/coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks
  • Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
  • Undertaking relevant training as required

Requirements

  • Must have lived in the UK for 3+ years to pass security checks
  • Confident leader and able to lead by example
  • Previous experience managing a team in a busy high-volume kitchen environment
  • Relevant culinary qualification
  • Security clearance and a DBS check is required
