Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Substance Use Team in Forensic Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, treatment, and management of individuals with substance use disorders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Consult and liaise with mental health and substance misuse services to provide substance use assessment and treatment.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and modify treatment using appropriate outcome measures to ensure effectiveness of intervention.
  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate specialized group interventions for co-morbid clients and families.
  • Select, apply, and advise on assessments and interventions for clients with complex combined problems.

Person Specification
  • Registered nurse: RMN/RGN
  • Experience of working with individuals diagnosed with a SMI and personality disorder
  • Good knowledge of recovery-based models within drug/alcohol use
  • Excellent knowledge of drug/alcohol treatment systems that make up an integrated recovery model
